Kings Dominion

Kings Dominion is an amusement park located 20 miles north of Richmond and 75 miles south of Washington, D.C. Owned and operated by Cedar Fair, the 400-acre park opened to the public on May 3, 1975, and features over 60 rides, shows and attractions including 12 roller coasters and a 20-acre water park. Its name is derived from the name of its sister park, Kings Island, and the nickname for the state of Virginia, "Old Dominion."
