The State Employees Association of North Carolina (SEANC) has an immediate opening for an energetic videographer and multimedia content specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who enjoys telling human interest stories but is also able to easily explain complicated subjects visually. Background in politics or journalism a plus. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create, edit and upload compelling branded content for SEANC social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc)
• Manage projects from concept through completion, including: planning, storyboarding, scripting, shooting, editing and encoding
• Schedule and record interviews with members
• Capture stock photos of state employees
• Re-touch, color correct, and prepare files for use on social media and other marketing channels as needed
• Attend SEANC events across the state to capture photos and video content

REQUIREMENTS:

• Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite programs (primarily Premier Pro, Photoshop, After Effects) and Final Cut Pro
• Ability to capture high-quality video content with Canon DSLR cameras (equipment provided)
• Ability to work independently and follow operational, filming, editing, and organizational guidelines for multiple projects with little to no supervision
• Ability to work under tight turnaround times
• Proficiency with lighting and sound equipment setup (equipment provided)
• Familiar with various video formats/codecs, specifically for web
• A strong understanding of title design and visual graphics
• Experience and passion for social videos
• Available to work at least 25 hours a week
• Mac and PC literate (equipment provided)
• Valid driver’s license
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds of equipment, sometimes up staircases
