The following is a statement from SEANC President Stanley Drewery on Gov. Pat McCrory's announcement that he would concede the recent election to EMPAC-endorsed Attorney General Roy Cooper:

"We look forward to working with Gov.-elect Roy Cooper to ensure that North Carolina continues to have the highest quality workforce in the country. State employees and retirees are the state's most important assets in these times and will ensure a seamless transition. Better days are ahead for the state of North Carolina with Roy Cooper in charge."
