SEANC welcomed its new Executive Director Robert Broome for his first official day on the job on Tuesday. Broome comes to SEANC with more than two decades of experience in public affairs and 15 years in government relations. Most recently, he served as Director of Communications for the N.C. Department of Transportation before a brief stint as Interim Director of the Governor’s Highway Safety Program.

In his introduction video Broome says, “I want you to know that even though I’m the new guy at SEANC, our mission and our values have not changed. SEANC will continue to fight for better pay, affordable health care and retirement security for state employees and retirees.
