Wendell Powell
President
Wendell Powell of Fayetteville (District 41) has been a SEANC member for 20 years and has served the state and the Department of Adult Corrections for over 20 years. He works as a Correctional Captain at Harnett Correctional Institution. Powell has served in multiple district and statewide positions, including District Chair and committee roles, such as Growth and Expansion, Bylaws, Policy Platform, Emerging Leaders, and Membership. He chaired the Fight for Fifteen Committee and the Planning Committee. Powell served on SEANC’s Executive Committee as a Regional Representative, Second Vice President, and First Vice President.

Emily Jones
First Vice President
Emily Jones of Clayton (District 41) retired after 30 years of state service, including UNC Hospital, Central Prison, and as a Mental Health Officer at Wake County Probation and Parole. Jones has been a SEANC member for over 20 years and currently serves as SEANC Second Vice President. She has served SEANC in many capacities, including as General Treasurer, District Chair, and Emerging Leaders Chair. Jones dedicates a considerable amount of time to the community and state through fieldwork, legislative advocacy, and appreciation events with state employees.

Stacie Crabtree
Second Vice President
Stacie Crabtree of Moncure (District 41) is an Operations Specialist with the Department of Adult Correction’s Emergency Preparedness Section. With almost 24 years of state service, she has been a SEANC member since 2003. Stacie has served as SEANC’s General Treasurer and Officer Liaison to the Statewide Audit Committee, the Emerging Leaders Council, the Insurance Board, the Investment Board, and the Planning Board. At the district level, she has held the roles of treasurer and secretary since 2008. She holds an Associate in Applied Science and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Systems.

Timothy Morgan
General Treasurer
Timothy N. Morgan of Salisbury (District 10) is a Programs Supervisor with the Department of Adult Correction. He has over 28 years of service and joined SEANC in 2011. Throughout his tenure with SEANC, Morgan has held numerous leadership positions within his district, including Secretary, Treasurer, Vice Chair, and currently serves as Chair. His commitment to the organization was recently recognized with his appointment to the SEANC Budget and Planning Committee for Fiscal Year 2025–2026. An active member of his community, Morgan is a proud Aggie, having graduated from North Carolina A&T State University.

Kirk Montgomery
Past President
Kirk Montgomery of Burlington (District 25) has 24 years of state service, three years in municipal government, and has been a SEANC member since 1996. He is the Director of Information Technology for the City of Mebane. Montgomery is SEANC First Vice President and has served at the district and state levels, including SEANC Second Vice President, General Treasurer, and Piedmont Regional Representative. He holds an Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and a Master’s degree in Information Systems.
