Gov. Perdue vetoes budget; pay raises in jeopardy

Gov. Beverly Perdue announced this morning her decision to veto the state budget the General Assembly passed last week, leaving a 1.2-percent pay raise for actives and a 1-percent cost-of-living adjustment for retirees in limbo.
